Evolution of Logo

After posting the more traditional approach to concept drawing, I thought it could be interesting for you too see the steps I have taken to develop the logo for the game.



I came up with the idea of the DNA strand while doing the initial sketching brainstorm.
Since it was apparent that it combined really well with U in "mutant" and A in "maze" I settled on that concept.



Here is the first rough sketch with colors. A fine sketch but it lacks that professional look. 
I think it has something to do with the obvious "brush with photoshop bevel effect" look.



Here is one with less "brush". However, the colors where completely off, and a lot of other stuff didn't feel quite right.



Current version. I am not sure I am completely satisfied with this version. 
Although it has a professional look, it lacks some fun. Dannie is not completely content with it either. 
I will leave it like this for now though.
